...guy hanging out beside the iconic Calder sculpture in downtown Grand Rapids. This, of course, is Grand Rapids, Michigan. The guy is standing behind a table covered with a white tablecloth, and on top are four bowls. Each bowl contains a different heterogeneous mixture of chopped nuts, Skittles and M&Ms, milk chocolate or caramel with sprinkles. This is to save time and bowls.
At the end of the table, to the left of the four bowls if you're face-to-face with the Calder guy with the table between you, is a big cooler. You know that inside the cooler is a small selection if ice cream because you distracted the guy long enough to sneak a quick glance inside. Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
In front of the cooler is a bag of waffle cones.
Taped to the front edge of the table is a sign made of white poster board, written in black permanent marker. It says "Free Ice Cream!" on it.
It's 80 degrees Fahrenheit at the moment.
Would this scenario make you happy? Does sitting in front of your computer imagining this scenario make you happy and at the same time, somewhat wistful because you know it is unlikely to happen?
